Entry Level GIS Analyst/Hydrologist/Geologist Position Available

The Entry Level GIS/Hydrologist/Geologist Position is 50% GIS and 50% field and office work. The position is responsible for all required mapping and analysis tasks in support of projects. Tasks include digitizing, georeferencing imagery and maps, editing data, updating data, map production, and performing other duties as required. The position also requires field work throughout Colorado, which includes collection of water level data, water quality sampling, drilling supervision, site inspections, stream flow measurements, GPS measurements, and other field duties that may be required. Office tasks include research, review of water court documents and water rights accounting.

This position reports directly to the project managers. The ideal job applicant should have a Bachelors Degree in hydrogeology, geology, watershed science, geological engineering, or related sciences.

The following are the minimum computer software proficiency:

ArcGIS 10.x
AutoCAD
Familiarity with aerial imagery and USGS topo maps
Microsoft Office suite of products
